We are looking for a mechanical engineer or physicist who combines a solid technical background with a practical mindset and hands-on aptitude.
Our projects are mostly in microwave engineering applications related to electron linear accelerators. The ideal candidate is familiar with key elements, such as high power RF sources, pulsed power, electromagnetics, software control systems, hydrogen brazing, and CAD design, and is proficient in the use of relevant diagnostic techniques and equipment, such as vector network analyzers, dosimeters, and similar types of test equipment used in the manufacturing and analysis of linear particle accelerators and LINAC systems.
Strong candidates have experience with hydrogen brazing, TIG welding, RF, mechanical drawings, procedure writing, the ability to read & troubleshoot electrical schematics, and preferably prior experience with linear accelerator systems. Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team is essential, as are strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to efficiently manage project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities may include
· RF System design work and data collection.
· Work with other scientists and engineers to review and solve difficult technical issues.
· Provide support and expertise to Manufacturing and Field Service Engineering groups
· Coordinate resources needed to complete a task or project.
· Improve documentation, baseline data and operating and maintenance procedures.
· Provide scope, cost and schedule estimates for research and engineering projects.

We are looking for quality driven, hands-on technicians, preferably familiar with high vacuum assemblies, who combine a solid technical background with a practical mindset and high productivity.
Qualified candidates have a strong mechanical aptitude, are DIY’s, with a background in mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
Candidates must be able to work independently and require minimal supervision.
